Fushivaru Outreef befindet sich an der östlichen Seite des Lhaviyani Atolls und kann mit jeder Strömung betaucht werden, da es ein sehr großes Riff ist. Starten wir den Tauchgang mit dem Riff an unserer linken Schulter tauchen wir gleich auf das Topriff in ca. 5-7 Metern ab. Auf dem Topriff findet Ihr große Korallenblocks, welche die Heimat von vielen Schwarmfischen und allen Arten von Kleingetier ist. Lasst Euch hier etwas Zeit bevor wir langsam am leicht abfallenden Riff abtauchen. Auf ca. 25. Metern findet Ihr eine Art Sandterrasse. Hier ist es gut möglich auf schlafende Weißpitzenriffhaie zu treffen. Schaut Euch aber auch um nach verschiedenen Muränen, Anemonen und anderem Kleingetier. Da wir uns jedoch am Außenriff befinden, vergesst nicht oft ins Blauwasser zu schauen. Oft kann man die grauen Riffhaie, Adlerrochen oder Napoleons sehen, wie sie am Riff entlang patroullieren. Entlang dem Riff stoßt Ihr immer wieder auf große Korallenblöcke, welche für viele verschiedene Fischarten als Putzerstation dienen. Sobald Ihr an die Kanalkante kommt, stoßt Ihr auf einen Korallenblock, welcher wie ein chinesisches Haus aussieht. Dieser ist die Heimat von einem Schwarm Buckelschnappern, aber auch die Süßlippen haben hier eine Heimat gefunden. Schaut auch für Stachelrochen, die hier im Sand nach Nahrung suchen. Dieser Korallenblock liegt in ca. 18-20 Metern und danach führt das Riff weiter in den Kanal hinaus und sieht aus wie eine Zunge. Die Kanalkante selber fällt hier rapide ab und liegt tiefer als 30 Meter. Auch hier wieder Ausschau halten nach Großfischen im Kanal. Von hier geht es dann wieder zurück in den Kanal und am Riff entlang hinauf auf das Topriff, welches wieder in 5-7 Metern liegt. Ein perfekter Platz um den Tauchgang mit einem Sicherheitsstopp zu beenden. Sollten wir den Tauchgang mit der rechten Schulter beginnen, dann starten wir im Kanal gleich an der Ecke und lassen uns auf die Zunge in ca. 18-20 Meter herunter bevor es dann weiter ans Außenriff geht. Ein sehr schöner Platz für Anfänger und Fortgeschrittene zugleich!

Fushivaru Outreef is located on the east side of the Lhavijani Atoll and can be dived with all currents as it is a very big dive site. Should you start your dive with the reef on your left shoulder you will drop on to the top reef in about 5-7 meters. Spend some time between the huge coral blocks and enjoy the abundance of fish life there. Once you leave the top reef you will descend on a gentle slope down to a sandy terrace in about 25 meters. Sometimes you can see white tip reef sharks resting there. On the out reef look out for morays, anemones and other small creatures. However as you are on the outside of the atoll always check out the blue water as there is a good chance to see grey reef sharks, eagle rays and big napoleons. At times you will also find big scattered coral blocks which are the homes of lots of cleaning stations. These of course attract all kinds of fish life that needs to have "scrub". The closer you come to the channel edge you will also find a coral formation which looks like a Chinese house and is also home of lots of schooling fish especially humpback snappers and sweet lips. After that you will see the reef reaching out into the channel itself like a tongue. There is also a good chance to see stingrays looking for food and Napoleons patrolling the area. This area lies in about 18-20 meters. Here the channel edge drops down more than 30 meters and again check out the blue water for big fish. From here we will turn into the channel itself and follow the reef up towards the top reef again, which has lots of small coral blocks again in 5 -7 meters. A perfect place to end your dive. Should you dive this site with the reef on your right shoulder you will begin the dive right at the corner to drop down to this tongue in 18-20 meters and then follow the reef to the outside of the atoll. This is a very nice dive for beginners and advanced divers alike!
