Dieser
Tauchplatz befindet sich am Außenriff nahe der Insel Palm Beach. Solltest
Du mit einer einlaufenden Strömung tauchen, dann springe nicht zu weit
entfernt von der Ecke ins Wasser.
Das Topriff befindet sich auf einer Tiefe von 3 bis 5 m und hat sehr schöne
Korallenformationen zu bieten. Hier solltest Du das gesamte Topriff abkreuzen
und nach Nacktschnecken, Muränen und Falterfischen Ausschau halten. Ebenso
kommt es hier hin und wieder zu Begegnungen mit schlafenden Weißspitzenriffhaien,
Leopardenhaien und Stachelrochen. An der Ecke zum Kanal solltest Du ein wenig
zeit verbringen, denn hier können immer wieder größere Hochseefische
gesehen werden. An den Überhängen der Kanalkante kannst Du viele
schöne Weichkorallen sehen, die in allen Farben schillern. Wenn Deine
Tauchzeit zu Ende geht, tauche auf das Topriff und verbleibe ein wenig zwischen
den großen Korallenblöcken. Ein sehr schönes Gebiet für
Anfänger und Fortgeschrittene.
The
divesite is located on the outreef next the island Resort Palm beach. If diving
with an in going current, do not jump too far on the outreef.
Spend time crossing over the top reef as here are larger table corals and large
coral blocks. The top reef is between 3 and 5 m. When diving with an ingoing
current, wait on the channel edge a few minutes as there may be a possibility
of larger pelagic fish. On the top reef different types of corals, small nudibranches,
banner fish and underneath the large coral blocks a chance of seeing maybe
a sleeping whitetip reef shark or leopard shark. When swimming along the channel
edge, you will find the reef drops off to a sandy bottom. In this area often
stingrays are sleeping in the sand. The edge has small overhangs with soft
corals and small terraces. When you have reached your time and depth limit,
dive up to the top reef and end your dive on the top reef. Criss cross between
the large coral blocks, as the top reef is very shallow, you can spend quite
some time in this area. This dive is for beginners or for the more experienced
diver. |
