Kuda Kandu Corner
ist einer der Top-Plätze im Addu Atoll. Er besticht durch seinen super Korallenbewuchs
und durch die vielen Fische am Kanaleingang! Das Riff ist voll mit Tischkorallen, Salatkorallen
und Hirschkorallen! Einige große Pilzkorallen, die mit Tischkorallen, Muscheln
und Gorgonien bewachsen sind! An der letzten Pilzkoralle vor dem Kanal sind immer 2
Schaukelfische zu finden, die bei nicht so starker Strömung auf dem Korallenblock
sitzen!
Von diesem Punkt zieht sich das Außenriff in den Kanal rein. Besonders dieser
strömungsreiche Bereich ist voll mit verschiedenen Fischen, wie Schnapper, Süßlippen,
Barschen und Napoleons. Hier hat man meistens Barrakudas und Adlerrochen, manchmal
auch mal Manta und Weisspitzenhai, Schildkröten und Thunfische! Hier tobt das
Leben, deshalb sollte man sich auf der Ecke etwas Zeit nehmen, bevor man sich in den
Kanal hinein treiben lässt!
Kuda Kandu Corner is one of the Top five Places in Addu Atoll. Here you will found a lot of different and beautiful Corals and most a lot of Fish. When you have incoming current in the Channel, you will have on the corner, big school of black Snapper, White tip reef shark, Napoleon, Barracudas, Jackfish, Fusilier, Rainbow Runners, Eagle Rays, lots of swarm fish and a lot of Turtles on the Top of the corner! The whole outside reef is covered with big Tablecorels, some big mushroom coral blocks, brain corals, cone corals and lots of other hard corals. On the last big Block you found always two leaf fish, nice Table corals on the Rock and also Soft corals! Most you found on the Rocks Murray Eels, Lobster, Snapper and Sweet lips also Puffer fish and Millions of small groupers and other Fish! This Place you must seen it is a dream for all people, if they want to see big fish or small fish everything is there!

Das Außenriff fängt auf einer Tiefe von ca. 5m an, und fällt dann langsam bis auf 30m ab. Ab 30m Tiefe ist eine Kante und das Riff fällt senkrecht ab ins Bodenlose: ca. 190m! Deshalb hat man am Außenriff immer gute Chancen etwas besonderes zu Sehen, meistens jedoch Adlerrochen, Barrakudas, Thunfische und viele Makrelen ! Der Kanal selbst ist ein seicht abfallendes Riff, das am Kanalboden auf ca. 30m endet ! Größere Pilzkorallen-Blöcke und Tischkorallen sind im Kanal zu finden ! Bei passender Strömung auch mal Mantas zu sehen und fast immer große Napoleons! The outer reef begins on a depth of approx. 5 m and then falls slowly except for 30 m. An edge is as of 30 m of depth and the reef falls vertically into the bottomless approx. 190 m! Therefore you always have good chances at the outer reef a little special to eyesight, mostly however eagle ray, barracudas, tunafishes and much mackerels! The channel itself is a reef falling shallowly which ends on approx. 30 m on the channel ground! Bigger mushroom coral blocks and table corals can be found in the channel! At suitable flow to see Mantas, too and almost always tall Napoleons! |
