Maakandu Outside

Maakandu ist ein sehr langes Außenriff, welches mit vielen verschiedenen Korallen bewachsen ist! Tischkorallen, Salatkorallen, Pilzkorallen und Geweihkorallen, sowie auch Lederkorallen und Gorgonien! Das Riff fängt auf einer Tiefe von 5m an, fällt dann ganz leicht bis auf 12 bis 15m. Von 20 bis 30m Tiefe fällt das Riff dann etwas stärker ab, bis es schließlich ab 30m ganz senkrecht in die Tiefe geht! An diesem Außenriff begegnet man öfters mal Weisspitzenhaien, Adlerrochen und Barrakudas, sowie ab und zu auch Mantas! An den größeren Blöcken oft Muränen und Schnecken und viele Barsche, Schnapper und Makrelen! Die Ideale Tiefe zum Tauchen dort ist ca. 15m, da an das Riff ideal übersehen kann!

Maakandu is a long Outside Reef. The Top starts on 5 to 8 m and slope slowly down to 30m till the drop off comes! Often we dive more the Corner, special when in the channel the current goes out, because also the Manta Rays of Mudakan going outside and so we often found there Manta Rays on the Corner! But special the Corner is very nice, lot of nice Corals with different Swarm fishes. Turtles, Barracudas, Tunas Jackfish and a lot of Black Snappers are always on the Corner! In the deeper Part we often have groups of Eagle Rays! It's a very nice relaxed Diving with a lot of special things.
