Molikolhoo Fara Molikolhoo Fara
ist der alte Manta Platz vom Addu Atoll, aber leider werden in letzter Zeit nicht mehr
so viele Mantas dort gesehen. Das Riffdach ist eher an Plateau auf ca. 10 bis 12m Tiefe,
das dann in eine Steilwand über geht und bis auf ca. 30m fällt ! Leider sind
die Korallen durch einen sehr starken Sturm 1998 fast Molikolhoo Fara was the old Manta Place, sometimes you will see their Manta Rays, but in last the possibility is around 20%. But when we see, the Mantas are bigger than these from Mudakan ! After 1998 the most Corals there died from the Bleaching, also there are always big waves who destroy a lot of Corals. The Top Reef is about 8 to 12m deep, after you have a drop off to around 30m. Often you see Lobsters, Groupers and Napoleon! On one Coral Rock on the Top Reef there is a lot of Oriental Sweep Lips and also Jackfish! Sometimes the feeling is there is scaring, because of less Fish in the Channel, but sometimes you could see Big sharks in that channel! Once we had a Tiger shark (2001)! But we don't go so often there, because it's not so much too see! Special in the main saison we have their visibility from nearly 100m and that is a reason to go! |
