Komando ist mit 500 m Länge und 100 m Breite nicht sehr groß und Dank der einzigen weiblichen Managerin der Malediven wirkt alles sehr familiär. Die Managerin begrüßt jeden neu ankommenden Urlauber entweder bereits am Steg, oder manchmal sogar schon auf dem Boot und wenn man das erste Mal den Landesteg betritt, wird man sofort mit Trommeln in der Rezeption begrüßt!

Komando Komando isn't very big with 500 m of length and 100 m of width and thanks to the only female manager of the Maldives everything seems very family. The manager welcomes every newly incoming tourist either already at the Jetty or sometimes on the Dhoni and who enters the landig-stage the first time is immediately welcomed with drums in front of the reception!

Bei normalen Wetterbedingungen legt das Dhoni am kürzeren nördlichen Steg an, der geradeaus zur Rezeption führt. In den beiden Schränken neben dem Tresen befindet sich die Insel-Bücherei, links die deutschsprachigen und rechts die fremdsprachigen Bücher. Links von der Rezeption befindet sich die ProDivers Tauchbasis und visavis am Strand, das wenig frequentierte Wassersport-Center. Rechts vom Steg befindet sich die Bar und wenn man durch diese hindurch geht, kommt man am Spa Center vorbei zum Restaurant.
Während das Hausriff im Norden, Westen und Süden nicht weit außerhalb der Wellenbrecher beginnt, ragt das Riff an der Südostseite sehr weit ins Meer und hier werden 2005 auch die 15 neuen Wasser-Bungalows errichtet. Außer an der Westseite vor dem Spa-Center, ist der Strand überall relativ breit. Die nur bei Flut vom Wasser bedeckten Wellenbrecher sind zwar nicht schön, aber nur durch sie bleibt der große, schöne Sandstrand erhalten.

At normal weather conditions the Dhoni lands at the shorter northern Jetty, that straight ahead to the reception leads. The island library is located in the two cupboards besides the reception-bar, on the left the German-speaking and on the right the books in a foreign language. On the left of the reception is the ProDivers diving base and on the left on the beach the only little used watersport center. The bar is on the right of the footbridge and if you goes through the bar, then you passes the Spa center to the restaurant.
While the housereef starts in the north, the west and the south near outside the breakwater, the reef rises very far at the south-eastern side into the sea and here the 15 new water bungalows are also built in 2005. Unless at the western side in front of the Spa center, the beach is everywhere relatively wide. The breakwaters only covered by the water at high tide aren't beautiful although, but the great, beautiful sandy beach remains unchanged only through her.

Bereits beim Landeanflug sieht man (sofern man älter als 12 Jahre ist, denn Kinder unter 12 Jahren sind nicht erlaubt), dass alle Bungalows an den beiden Längsseiten von Komandoo errichtet wurden, während Rezeption, Tauchsport-Center, Bar, Spa, Restaurant und Souvenir-Shop dicht beisammen am westlichen Ende der schmalen Insel stehen, so dass der Weg für ein Deko-Bierchen nach dem Tauchen nicht sehr weit ist und auch nach dem Essen muss niemand auf dem kurzen Weg zur Bar verdursten
Einmal wöchentlich findet je ein Disko und ein Boduberu Abend statt und an den übrigen Tagen der Woche sorgen Mr. Silva's Cocktails für gute Stimmung. Sie müssen unbedingt einen "Silva Special" UND einen "Seven Heaven" versuchen!
Den Sonnenuntergang genießt man am schönsten von den südlichen Bungalows, oder vom südlichen Steg aus, aber auch vom breiten Strand links vor der Bar sieht er sehr stimmungsvoll aus.

Already at the landing approach you sees (provided you are older than 12 years, because children under 12 years are not allowed) that all bungalows on Komandoo were built along the two lengthways sides and that Reception, Diving center, Bar, Spa, Restaurant and the Souvenir shop stand thick together at the western end of the narrow island, so that the way for a "Deco beer" after the diving isn't very long and also after the meal nobody must die of thirst on the short way to the bar
Once weekly there is a disco and a Boduberu evening in the Bar and on the other days of the week Mr. Silva's cocktails provide a good atmosphere. You MUST certainly unite "Silva Special" and a "Seven Heaven" have a try!
You enjoys the sundown most beautifully of the southern bungalows or from the southern Jetty but also of the wide beach on the left in front of the Bar it looks very idyllic.

Auf Komandoo tragen alle Bungalows Namen von Meerestieren, bei Repeatern tragen sie jedoch ab dem 4. mal für die Dauer des Aufenthaltes den Namen ihrer Bewohner. Auf der südlichen Inselseite stehen die Bungalows Coral (1-5), Turtles (1-9) und Shell (1-6), während es auf der nördlichen Seite die Bungalows Starfish (1-6), Dolphin (1-6), Manta (1-9) und Marlin (1-9) sind. Seit dem 1. August 2005 sind auch die Dolphin mit Jacuzzi ausgestattet und die 15 neuen Jacuzzi Wasservillen sind ebenfalls fertig.

Das Innere der Bungalows ist sehr geräumig, allerdings vermisst man Laden, um den üblichen Kleinkram zu verstauen und so sieht es ständig ein wenig unordentlich aus. Im Schrank befindet sich die Mini-Bar und ein kostenloser Tresor. Das Open-Air Bad ist ebenfalls sehr groß und mit 2 Waschtischen ausgestattet. Das vorletzte Foto rechts unten zeigt das Innere der neuen Jacuzzi Wasservillen.

All bungalows on Komandoo bear the names of sea animals, who comes however the 4th time to Komandoo, the bungalow bears his name for the duration of the stay. On the southern island side stand the Coral (1-5), Turtles (1-9) and Shell (1-6) Bungaows while on the northern side the bungalows have the names Starfish (1-6), Dolphin (1-6), Manta (1-9) and Marlin (1-9). Since August 1st, 2005 the Dolphin are also equipped with Jacuzzi and the 15 new Jacuzzi Water villas are also ready.

The inside of the bungalows is very spacious, but I missed drawers, to stow the usual odds and ends and therefore it looked permanently a little messy. The mini-bar and a free of charge safe is located in the cupboard. The open air bath is also very big and equipped with 2 washstands. The next to the last photo on the right below shows the inside of the new Jacuzzi Water villas.
